Definitions of the search, e-commerce, and scraping terms that come up when working with web data, each with the field it appears as in a real response.

- ASIN
- Amazon Standard Identification Number: the 10-character ID Amazon gives every product in its catalog.
B
- Best Sellers Rank
- Amazon's sales rank for a product within a category, where 1 is the best-selling item in that category.
- Browse node
- Amazon's numeric ID for a category in its catalog tree, such as the node behind Electronics › Keyboards.
- Buy Box
- The offer on an Amazon product page that the Add to Cart button buys: one seller's price, chosen by Amazon among all offers.

- E.164
- The international phone number format: a plus sign, the country code, and the national number, with no spaces, such as +18889262289.
G
- Google place ID
- The text identifier Google assigns to a place in Google Maps, used to look the same business up again.
K
- Knowledge Graph
- Google's database of entities (people, places, organizations, things) and their facts, shown as a panel beside or above the results.
L
- Local pack
- The map and short list of businesses Google shows on searches with local intent, such as "plumbers in Denver".
O
- Organic results
- The unpaid links on a search results page, ranked by the search engine rather than bought as ads.
P
- People also ask
- A Google results block of questions related to the query, each expanding into a short answer taken from a web page.
R
- Rank tracking
- Recording where a site appears in search results for a set of keywords, on a schedule, to see how its positions change.
S
- SERP
- A search engine results page: everything a search engine shows for one query, from organic links to ads, maps, and answer boxes.
T
- TrustScore
- Trustpilot's overall score for a company, from 1 to 5, calculated from its reviews with recent ones weighted more heavily.
