Amazon Price API
Every seller's price for an Amazon product, new and used.
Overview
What teams build with the Amazon Price API
Price tracking
Record the lowest new and used prices for each ASIN on a schedule, and alert when one drops.
Repricing
See who else sells your ASIN, at what price and condition, with which delivery promise, before you set yours.
Brand protection
Find unauthorized sellers on your listings: each offer names the seller, with an id for the Amazon Seller API.
Official API restricted
Is there an official Amazon API?
Only for Amazon affiliates. Amazon deprecated the Product Advertising API 5.0 and moved affiliates to the Creators API, which is part of the Associates program.
Amazon's Product Advertising API 5.0 is deprecated: calls return 403 with a message to migrate to the Creators API. The Creators API is run by Amazon Associates for publishers, influencers, and affiliate partners, to show and link to products they earn commission on.
If you monitor prices, sellers, or reviews rather than sell as an affiliate, that program does not fit. Clair reads the product page a shopper sees for the delivery location you pass as zip_code, including the Buy Box seller, all other offers, and, outside amazon.com, reviews.

Code
Integrate in minutes
One host, one Bearer key for every Clair API. Each call returns JSON with the same envelope, so a second API is a new path, not a new client.
curl -G "https://api.clair.im/v1/amazon/offers?asin=1098145356" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"
Reference
Query and response fields

Pricing
What is the difference between offers and the product price?
Product details return the buy-box price, the one on the Add to Cart button. Offers list every seller's price for the same ASIN, new and used.
Does the price change with location?
Yes. Pass zip_code for the delivery postal code; Amazon's prices and delivery dates follow it.
What if nobody sells the product?
offers comes back empty.
What does the Amazon Price API return?
Reads Amazon's all-offers panel: condition, price, delivery, ships-from, and the seller with their rating. Price, availability, gallery, bullets, description, breadcrumb categories, best-sellers rank, specification tables, identifiers, variants, and book formats from one product page.
Which endpoints does a plan include?
All of them: Product offers, Product details. Each call spends this API's rate from your plan's balance.
How is a request counted?
Each call is one request, and each extra page is a new call. A malformed request (400) is not counted, and a request that fails on our side (5xx) is refunded.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. The free tier is $1 of usage a month across every Clair API, with no card: about 86 Amazon Price API requests if it all goes here. It resets monthly, and calls stop when the balance runs out.
What happens when I use up my plan's balance?
The API returns 429 until the next period, on every plan, and nothing is billed past the balance. An upgrade starts a new month at once, and the unused balance carries over.
Does my plan cover other Clair APIs?
Yes. One plan and one key cover every Clair API, and every call spends from the same monthly balance. Your first call starts the free tier.
