Google Shopping API
Google Shopping product cards for a query: price, store, discount, delivery, and rating.
Overview
What teams build with the Google Shopping API
Competitor price tracking
Run the queries your products sell under every day and record which stores Google shows, at what price, and with which discount.
Share of shelf
Measure how often a brand's products appear for a category's queries, in which section, and against which competitors.
Deal and price-drop alerts
Watch a query's cards for new discounts, using original_price and Google's badge, and alert when a product falls under a target.
Official API restricted
Is there an official Google Shopping API?
Only for a merchant's own listings. Google's Merchant API manages the products in a Merchant Center account you control; it does not search Google Shopping.
The Merchant API automates account, product, and inventory management within Merchant Center, and reports on your own products' performance. It replaced the Content API for Shopping, which Google sunset in August 2026. Neither returns the results a shopper sees for a query, or other stores' products and prices.
Clair reads the public google.com results for your query and country, and returns every product card Google shows with its price, store, and rating.
Read from these pages on October 27, 2026.

Code
Integrate in minutes
One host, one Bearer key for every Clair API. Each call returns JSON with the same envelope, so a second API is a new path, not a new client.
curl -G "https://api.clair.im/v1/google-shopping?q=wireless+earbuds" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"
Reference
Query and response fields
One Shopping results page per request, in Google's sections (deals, popular products, more products). A product listed in more than one section appears once. A query no product matches returns an empty results array.

Does it return every store's price for a product?
No. Each card shows one store's offer, and more_merchants says whether others sell it too. Google lists the other stores in a product viewer that opens in the browser, which a fetched page does not render for most products.
How many products does one request return?
The products in the shopping sections Google shows for the query, usually 20 to 30. Google shows them once per query, so there is no page parameter.
Are images included?
No. Google embeds the thumbnails in the page instead of linking to them, so there is no image URL to return.
Can I search another country's stores?
Yes. country sets where the search is made from, which sets the stores and the currency Google shows.
What does the Google Shopping API return?
Live scrape of google.com. One request returns the Google Shopping products Google shows for a query in its shopping sections (deals, popular products, more products), usually 20 to 30, each with the headline store's price, the pre-discount price, delivery terms, and the product's rating. Google shows these sections once per query, so there is no page parameter. A card opens Google's product viewer in the browser, which a fetched page does not render for most products, so there is no per-store offer list or product detail endpoint.
How is a request counted?
Each call is one request, and each extra page is a new call. A malformed request (400) is not counted, and a request that fails on our side (5xx) is refunded.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. The free tier is $1 of usage a month across every Clair API, with no card: about 232 Google Shopping API requests if it all goes here. It resets monthly, and calls stop when the balance runs out.
What happens when I use up my plan's balance?
The API returns 429 until the next period, on every plan, and nothing is billed past the balance. An upgrade starts a new month at once, and the unused balance carries over.
Does my plan cover other Clair APIs?
Yes. One plan and one key cover every Clair API, and every call spends from the same monthly balance. Your first call starts the free tier.
