Official API retired
Is there an official Glassdoor API?
Not for new developers. Glassdoor's help center says it no longer supports API partnerships.
Glassdoor used to run a partner API with job, company, and salary endpoints. Its documentation pages are still online, but there is no partner program left to join, so they are of no use to a new project.
Clair reads the same public pages a signed-out visitor sees, in a real browser, and returns them in a fixed schema. Pages Glassdoor keeps behind its login, such as the full review history and interview questions, are not offered.
Read from these pages on September 28, 2026.

Code
Integrate in minutes
One host, one Bearer key for every Clair API. Each call returns JSON with the same envelope, so a second API is a new path, not a new client.
curl -G "https://api.clair.im/v1/glassdoor/salaries?employer_id=9079&slug=Google&page=2" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"

Where do the figures come from?
Glassdoor's estimates from salaries its users report, with the number of reports behind each title.
Can I see pay in a specific city?
Yes, where Glassdoor has one: each response lists locations, and you send one as location. Without it you get the employer's home country.
How many job titles are there?
10 per page, most reported first, up to page 20.
What does the Glassdoor Salary API return?
Base and total pay P10–P90 for each job title, in Glassdoor’s order (most reported first). 10 titles per page, up to page 20. Figures are Glassdoor’s estimates from reported salaries, for the employer’s home country unless location names one of the states or cities in locations[]. Returns employer_id and slug for Company and Salaries. The slug is case-sensitive; take it from here rather than guessing it.
Which endpoints does a plan include?
All of them: Salaries, Company search. Each call spends this API's rate from your plan's balance.
How is a request counted?
Each call is one request, and each extra page is a new call. A malformed request (400) is not counted, and a request that fails on our side (5xx) is refunded.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. The free tier is $1 of usage a month across every Clair API, with no card: about 173 Glassdoor Salary API requests if it all goes here. It resets monthly, and calls stop when the balance runs out.
What happens when I use up my plan's balance?
The API returns 429 until the next period, on every plan, and nothing is billed past the balance. An upgrade starts a new month at once, and the unused balance carries over.
Does my plan cover other Clair APIs?
Yes. One plan and one key cover every Clair API, and every call spends from the same monthly balance. Your first call starts the free tier.
