Global Trade Item Number: the barcode number on a product, in 8, 12, 13, or 14 digits, including UPC, EAN, and ISBN.

What GTIN means

GTIN is the GS1 standard for product identifiers. A UPC is a 12-digit GTIN used mainly in North America, an EAN is a 13-digit GTIN used elsewhere, and a book's ISBN-13 is an EAN beginning with 978 or 979. The number under a barcode is the GTIN.

Brands and retailers have GTINs for their products, and marketplaces have their own ids. Matching the two is the first step in tracking your products on a marketplace.
