Amazon Seller API
A third-party Amazon seller's ratings, business details, and products.
Overview
What teams build with the Amazon Seller API
Seller vetting
Check a seller's rating history, recent feedback, and registered business before you buy from, partner with, or report them.
Lead generation
Collect the business name and address sellers publish, for sellers in your niche.
Competitor catalogs
List the products a competing seller carries, page by page, with their prices.
Official API restricted
Is there an official Amazon API?
Only for Amazon affiliates. Amazon deprecated the Product Advertising API 5.0 and moved affiliates to the Creators API, which is part of the Associates program.
Amazon's Product Advertising API 5.0 is deprecated: calls return 403 with a message to migrate to the Creators API. The Creators API is run by Amazon Associates for publishers, influencers, and affiliate partners, to show and link to products they earn commission on.
If you monitor prices, sellers, or reviews rather than sell as an affiliate, that program does not fit. Clair reads the product page a shopper sees for the delivery location you pass as zip_code, including the Buy Box seller, all other offers, and, outside amazon.com, reviews.
Read from these pages on September 28, 2026.

Code
Integrate in minutes
One host, one Bearer key for every Clair API. Each call returns JSON with the same envelope, so a second API is a new path, not a new client.
curl -G "https://api.clair.im/v1/amazon/seller?seller_id=AWZI6BA70DZZD" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"

Pricing
Where do I get a seller id?
From the Amazon Price API: every offer names its seller with an id, such as A245R8VFMDKNT1.
Which ratings are included?
Positive share and count for the last 30 days, 90 days, 12 months, and lifetime, the star distribution, and recent feedback.
What does the Amazon Seller API return?
Reads the public seller page. seller_id comes from GET /v1/amazon/offers. Reads the seller's storefront results page.
Which endpoints does a plan include?
All of them: Seller profile, Seller products. Each call spends this API's rate from your plan's balance.
How is a request counted?
Each call is one request, and each extra page is a new call. A malformed request (400) is not counted, and a request that fails on our side (5xx) is refunded.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. The free tier is $1 of usage a month across every Clair API, with no card: about 86 Amazon Seller API requests if it all goes here. It resets monthly, and calls stop when the balance runs out.
What happens when I use up my plan's balance?
The API returns 429 until the next period, on every plan, and nothing is billed past the balance. An upgrade starts a new month at once, and the unused balance carries over.
Does my plan cover other Clair APIs?
Yes. One plan and one key cover every Clair API, and every call spends from the same monthly balance. Your first call starts the free tier.
