CEO approval rating
The share of a company's Glassdoor reviewers who say they approve of its CEO.
What CEO approval rating means
Glassdoor asks each reviewer whether they approve of the company's CEO. The CEO approval rating is the percentage of those who answered who said yes, shown on the company's profile with the CEO's name and photo.
It moves with events: layoffs, a new CEO, or a public controversy show up in approval within weeks, often before the overall rating changes, since the overall rating averages years of reviews. A change of CEO starts a new figure.
Clair's Glassdoor company endpoint returns ceo_approval_percent in ratings, with recommend_to_friend_percent and business_outlook_percent, and the CEO's name and title in ceo.
