What News aggregator means
A news aggregator does not write stories. It indexes many outlets, groups articles about the same event, and ranks them by topic, location, or the reader's interests. Google News is the largest; others include Apple News and Yahoo News.
Aggregators are the fastest way to see coverage across outlets, and a common source for media monitoring. They show headlines and link out, so the article text stays with the publisher.
Clair's Google News API returns each headline with the publisher's own url, the source's name and domain, the publish time, and google_url, Google's link to the same story.
