Google Merchant Center
Google's tool where retailers submit product data, prices, and stock, to appear in Google Shopping ads and free listings.
What Google Merchant Center means
Retailers upload their products to Merchant Center as a feed: titles, prices, availability, images, and identifiers such as GTINs. Google uses the feed for Shopping ads and, since 2020, for free product listings in the Shopping tab and elsewhere.
Every product in Google Shopping comes from a merchant's feed, so the same product appears with several merchants and prices side by side. Price and stock are only as current as the merchant's last update.
Clair's Google Shopping API returns the results as shoppers see them: title, price and original price, merchant, delivery, rating, and whether more merchants sell the product.
