Google Business Profile
What Google Business Profile means
A Google Business Profile is the panel Google shows for a business in Maps, in the local pack, and beside search results. It was called Google My Business until 2021. Google can create one from public information, and the owner can claim and verify it to manage it.
Once verified, the owner sets the name, category, address, phone, website, and opening hours, adds photos, and can reply to reviews. Anyone can suggest edits, and Google sometimes applies them, so a profile can change without the owner doing anything.
Clair's Google Maps place endpoint returns what a profile shows: title, category, address, phone, website, hours by day, rating, and reviews with the owner's response where there is one.
