What Lead enrichment means
Leads usually arrive thin: an email, a company name, or a domain. Enrichment fills in the rest from other sources, so sales teams can prioritise and route the lead and personalise the first contact.
Sources differ in freshness and coverage. Databases return many fields at once but can be months old; reading the company's own website or public profiles gives fewer fields that are current. Most teams combine them, and store where each value came from.
Clair's Website Contacts API enriches a domain with the emails, phones, social profiles, addresses, and people its website publishes, each with the page it was found on. Crunchbase adds company facts.
