What Residential proxy means
A proxy forwards a request so that the website sees the proxy's IP address instead of yours. Data center proxies use server addresses, which are cheap and fast but easy for sites to recognise and block. Residential proxies use addresses assigned to home connections, which sites are reluctant to block.
Proxies are also how scrapers appear to be in a country: a request through a German residential address sees the German version of a site.
Clair handles proxies and unblocking on its side; you send an ordinary HTTPS request with your API key, and set the country as a parameter.
