Reuters News API reference

Two endpoints, one subscription. Listings are one page. Article reads one story. Reuters blocks automated site search, so q returns 400 unsupported_parameter. This is not Reuters Terminal. See the Reuters News API: overview, pricing, and free tier.

Listing

GET /v1/reuters/search · 1 request Omit both section and author to list /world. Pass section (for example world or business/finance) or author (a reuters.com/authors/ slug), not both. page must be 1.

Parameter	Required	Contract
`section`	no	Path under reuters.com. Default `world`. Mutually exclusive with `author`.
`author`	no	`reuters.com/authors/` slug. Mutually exclusive with `section`.
`page`	no	Must be 1.

Do not send q, limit, or cursor. Author pages may set total_results with next_page still null. Each hit includes position, id, title, url, published_at, section, kicker, authors[] (name, url), image, and premium.

Article

GET /v1/reuters/article · 1 request url must be a reuters.com story, usually a url from the listing.

The body is article: title, url, authors[], published_at, section, subsection, tags[], image (url, caption, credit), paragraphs[], word_count, access (free / metered / premium), and body_truncated.
