Bloomberg News API reference - Clair

Two endpoints, one subscription. Latest is the lineup paginate API — the /latest HTML page is a shell. Sections page with next_cursor. q searches the site. Article reads one story. This is not Bloomberg Terminal. See the Bloomberg News API: overview, pricing, and free tier.

Parameter	Required	Contract
`q`	no	Site search. Do not send `section` or `cursor` with `q`.
`section`	no	`latest` (default), `markets`, `economics`, `technology`, `politics`, and other fronts.
`sort`	no	With `q`: `relevance`, `newest`, or `oldest`.
`type`	no	With `q`: `article`, `video`, `audio`, `graphics`, or `businessweek`.
`time`	no	With `q`: `1d`, `1w`, or `1m`.
`page`	no	With `q`: 1–50. Section rails must stay on page 1.
`cursor`	no	`next_cursor` from a section rail. Not valid with `q`.

Do not send limit. Latest rails return about six cards plus next_cursor. Search returns total_results and next_page. Search hits may have premium: null. Each hit includes position, title, url, section, kicker, authors[], image, and premium.

Article

GET /v1/bloomberg/article · 1 request url must be a bloomberg.com /news/articles/ link. Metered stories return the public paragraphs and set body_truncated. access is free, metered, or premium. Same document as Reuters and Associated Press. Auth, plans, rate limits, and error codes: Authentication.
