01 / What we collect

• Account data — email and authentication identifiers you provide at sign-up (directly or via the identity provider you choose).
• Usage data — chat threads, watchlist entries, queries, and AI token consumption tied to your account.
• Technical data — IP address, user-agent, and standard request logs needed to operate the service and prevent abuse.

02 / How we use it

• Operating the service — authenticating you, enforcing usage limits, and persisting your settings and history.
• Improving the product — aggregated, de-identified usage signals inform what we build next. We do not use your prompts or content to train AI models.
• Communication — transactional emails only (account changes, security notices). No marketing.

03 / Who we share with

• Cloud infrastructure providers (hosting, database, authentication) that process data on our behalf.
• AI model providers used to generate responses inside Ask Clair. Your prompts are forwarded to these providers solely to produce a response and are not used to train their models under the terms we accept on your behalf.
• Clair does not sell personal data and does not share it with advertisers.

04 / Retention & security

• Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. Chat history and watchlist entries are retained until you delete them or delete your account.
• After account deletion, personal data is purged within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.
• Data is encrypted in transit. We follow standard practices for credential storage and access control, but no service can guarantee absolute security.

05 / Your rights

• You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Account deletion is available from settings; export and other requests can be made by email.
• Users in the EU/EEA, UK, and Türkiye have rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and KVKK respectively, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
• Clair is not directed at children under 16; do not use the service if you are below that age.
